This page defines the properties and custom identifiers used in the JSON-LD
(structured data) embedded in s2rz.com articles. It serves both as a
human-readable explanation and a machine-readable definition for AI and
search engines.
Role of Each Property
The JSON-LD on s2rz.com articles uses the following four properties as follows:
about: Indicates the original interpretation or argument the article develops (core_concept)
isBasedOn: Indicates the primary source book the article relies on (reference_main)
citation: Indicates the full list of references cited in the article (references taxonomy)
additionalType: A custom identifier indicating the nature (primary or secondary source) of each item within citation
Definition of Source Classification
The following are definitions of the identifiers referenced by additionalType.
Rather than the strict academic three-tier classification of primary, secondary, and
tertiary sources, this site adopts a custom classification based on “proximity to the
original source.”
primary-source (Primary Source)
[Definition] Refers to the original text of a teaching or doctrine, or material
directly close to the original source. This includes texts that, despite having
undergone later compilation or annotation, retain a strong character as a direct
record of the original.
[Examples] Sutras, the Jingde Chuandeng Lu (Transmission of the Lamp), etc.
secondary-source (Secondary Source)
[Definition] Refers to literature in which a specific author analyzes, interprets,
or comments on a primary source or original material. Reference tools such as
dictionaries and encyclopedias, which organize and summarize existing knowledge,
are also included in this category for practical purposes on this site.
[Examples] Scholarly commentaries, academic papers, dictionaries, etc.
Definitions of Lineage Relationships
The following are definitions of the custom properties used within additionalProperty to indicate master-disciple relationships.
As these do not exist in the standard schema.org vocabulary, s2rz.com assigns
them identifiers via additionalType as custom extended properties
to clarify their meaning.
dharma-master
[Definition] Indicates the Zen master from whom a person received dharma
transmission or direct instruction.
[Example] Xuefeng Yicun, in relation to Yunmen Wenyan, etc.
dharma-disciple
[Definition] Indicates the Zen disciple who received dharma transmission or
direct instruction from a person.
[Example] Yunmen Wenyan, in relation to Xuefeng Yicun, etc.
